Veteran hellraiser Alice Cooper refused to attend Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings when he quit drinking, instead preferring to sip soft drinks in bars.
The SCHOOL'S OUT rocker decided the quickest route to everlasting sobriety was to hang out at his old boozing haunts.
He says, "They tell you you're supposed to go to AA meetings, but I didn't go. Instead, I went directly to a bar and I ordered a Coca-Cola.
"Everybody around me was drinking alcohol and it never occurred to me to have some too.
"In the 23 years since it's never been a temptation, and that's interesting because I have absolutely no will power.
"If I had a beer now, I wouldn't be able to stop and I'd be hiding five bottles of whiskey in my hotel room tonight. That's how volatile a hair trigger it is for me, so I sat in the bar and it was as if all my desire to drink had completely gone."
