Alexa Chung feels ''tortured'' by boring outfits.

The 31-year-old model and fashion designer - who is known for her flawless sense of style - has admitted she can end up feeling ''really down'' if she's spotted out and about wearing an uninteresting outfit.

She explained: ''I think my style is a balance between masculinity and femininity.

''It's a sexy way to dress because it's confident. A bad outfit can really get me down. If I'm wearing something really normal and boring, it's like torture.''

The brunette beauty - who recently launched her second clothing collection for AG Jeans - is also a spokesperson for French accessories company Longchamp, has appeared on the cover of Vogue and penned her own memoir 'It' in 2013.

However, Alexa insists that while it may look as if she is in control of her career she often feels like her life has ''very little order to it''.

She told Harper's Bazaar magazine: ''[It's] a s**t-show-free-for-all: I have too many agents and no central person, so I'm the central person and I'm already inclined to be quite scatty, so my life has very little order to it. But I love it.''
