Both ’19’ and ’21’ were received exceptionally well by critics, the latter became the highest selling musical release in both 2011 and 2012, reviving poor records sales in the US and UK. ’21’ went on to win the Grammy Award for Album of the Year as well as the BRIT Award for British Album of the Year.

Adele’s publicist confirmed earlier in the year that she would be bringing out a third album in 2014. Rumours began circulating that the album would be called ’25’ when, on Sunday night, the singer tweeted an image along with the caption “Bye bye 25…See you again later in the year,” implying that the number would crop up again.

The songs on Adele’s album ’21’ chronicled a recent heartbreak, while these days the singer is in a much happier place. In a happy relationship with longterm partner Simon Konecki, their first son, Angelo, was born in 2012. The fortunate turn of events for Adele implies that the upcoming album will be less about heartache and more about happiness.
