A disabled AC DC fan is in a "serious but stable" condition in hospital following a freak accident at the band's gig in Australia on Saturday (27Feb10).
The rockers were playing at the Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre in Brisbane when an unnamed quadriplegic male was thrown from his wheelchair - which was positioned in a raised section for disabled gig-goers - after his friend accidentally knocked the vehicle's joystick.
The 31 year old fell face-down into the crowd and embedded his eye on a metal pole which he used to grasp objects.
Paramedics rushed to the man's aid and he was immediately taken to the city's Princess Alexandra Hospital where he was treated in the intensive care unit.
A hospital official revealed on Sunday (28Feb10) the man was out of intensive care and in a serious, but stable condition.
