The rapper-cum-actor has been charged by LAPD officers for allegedly kicking the mother of his child during a domestic dispute
50 Cent has been charged with domestic abuse following an allegedly incident that saw the rapper attack the mother of one of his children and damage her property at her Los Angeles condo. TMZ reported on Wednesday (July 3) that the rapper committed the act of violence last month, with LA police arriving at the scene after the rapper, real name Curtis Jackson, had left.
50 apparently lost his cool when visiting a former flame
He is now expected to appear in court later this month to face the charges brought against him. According to the police report filed by the unspecified woman; said to be Daphne Joy, who is the mother of 50's second child, 50 is facing five separate charges from the incident - one count misdemeanor domestic violence and four counts of misdemeanor vandalism. The rapper apparently got so riled up that he went on to cause up to $7,100 worth of damage during the incident at Joy's Toluca Lake, California, home, which took place on June 23. The police report goes on to state that when 50 started to lose his cool, Joy had to barricade herself in one of her bathrooms, but that didn't stop the rapper as he proceeded to kick down the door, hitting the woman with his foot in the process.
It wouldn't be the first time he's been in prison
No word from 50 in regards to the situation as of yet. With a scheduled court date of July 22, if convicted on all counts the rapper could be facing up to five years of jail time and around $46,000 in fines.
If found guilty the rapper will be in hot water
