Rap superstar 50 Cent has put his flashy jewellery away for safe keeping - because he no longer needs to remind people how rich he is.
The In Da Club hitmaker, real name Curtis Jackson, is known for his elaborate jewels and is rarely seen without his gold and diamond-encrusted necklaces, earrings and rings.
But he surprised U.S. TV audiences on Tuesday night (27Jan10) when he appeared on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson minus his bling.
Explaining his new look, 50 Cent said, "I was trying to send a signal with the jewellery and now I don't need that."
