5 Hit TV Shows Returning In 2019; From 'Game Of Thrones' To 'Peaky Blinders'
Most of the time, we'll get a new season of a hit television series just under a year after the release of the final episode in the current season. Sometimes however, it takes a little longer for those working behind-the-scenes to bring their shows back to the small screen. In fact, it's becoming more of a trend with every month that passes by to keep audiences waiting around two years before getting another hit of their favourite show. With all of that in mind, we've decided to take a look at 5 of the biggest series in the world, which won't be making a comeback until 2019 despite their last outings being in 2017...
Production hasn't yet started on the fifth series of 'Peaky Blinders', but the hit BBC show is expected to make another huge impact when it returns in 2019. Last time we saw Cillian Murphy's Tommy Shelby, he became a Member of Parliament, so could he be headed for even higher government, or does he have other plans up his sleeve? We can't wait to find out.
2. The Crown
The first time jump in this Netflix original series is set to take place in 2019, after two very successful seasons of the show. Olivia Colman is stepping up to play Queen Elizabeth II, and will be working alongside the likes of Tobias Menzies as Prince Phillip, Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret, and Jason Watkins as Prime Minister of the time, Harold Wilson.
1. Big Little Lies
Meryl Streep joins 'Big Little Lies' in its second season, working alongside an all-star cast that already includes the likes of Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon. Following the dramatic final scenes of season 1, which saw a murder mystery solved - at least on the part of the viewers - writers are going to have to do an impeccable job of keeping up the standard if they want to impress everybody watching at home. Let's hope for the best.
