The XX have been announced to headline Bestival 2017 alongside A Tribe Called Quest and Pet Shop Boys. The Autumn event returns for its 14th year, but for the very first time it won't be being held at the traditional Isle of Wight venue.

Having recently released their number one third studio album 'I See You', The XX are returning for their third time at Bestival - and this time they'll finally be headlining. Hip hop collective A Tribe Called Quest will also be playing the main Castle Stage, as well as 80s pop legends Pet Shop Boys.

'Bestival was one of the first festivals we played, back in 2010, and it had always been a dream for us', The xx said of the news in a statement. 'We even begged to play the previous year. In 2012 we returned to play the main stage and we're so happy to say we'll be headlining this year, at the new site in Dorset. The Isle of Wight will hold a special place in our hearts but we're excited to bring our new show to their new home.'

Brits Critics' Choice Award winning Rag'n'bone Man will also be hitting up the main stage, along with Dizzee Rascal, Laura Mvula, MNEK, Circa Waves and Johnny Flynn & The Sussex Wit. Over on The Box stage will be Jamie T and DJ Yoda, while Annie Mac will be among those performing on the Temple stage. Further acts are yet to be announced.

This year the festival will be held at Dorset's Lulworth Estate, instead of the usual Robin Hill Country Park near Newport where it has been held since its inaugural year in 2004. The move was decided by Rob da Bank over logistical difficulties of getting the music fans actually onto the island.

Bestival will be held between September 7th and 10th 2017.
