'The X Factor' Forced To Deny Fix Claims After Honey G Booking

‘The X Factor’ has been forced to deny that the show is fixed after the controversial contestant Honey G, who is still in the running, was seemingly booked for a live performance in a nightclub in Scotland on the night of this year’s final.

The venue Kittys & Kandy in the Scottish town of Kirkcaldy posted a Facebook message this week promising that they would be featuring self-styled comedy rapper, real name Anna Gilford, on December 10th – the evening of this year’s ‘X Factor’ final.

“We’ve just confirmed the most talked about act in Britain at the moment! Get down to Kittys on December 10th where we have… HONEY G!!! More details to follow soon,” the post read before it was taken down a few hours later.

However, it wasn’t before a large number of people pointed out the calendar clash, with some saying it was evidence that the show’s producers knew that she wouldn’t make it as far as the final.

“X Factor final is the 10th December who’s to say she won’t be there,” wrote one fan, with another claiming “X Factor final is this date this means the show’s a fix lol.”

Kittys & Kandy told The Sun about the confusing booking that they had only secured the date in case Honey G is eliminated before December 10th, but a spokesperson for ‘The X Factor’ told Metro said that the Scottish venue was simply mistaken.

“This story is not true and there is no foundation to any fix claims. The club was mistaken in their post that she would be there on 10 December and the post has since been removed.”

Many fans have dismissed “North Wheezy” (i.e. London, apparently) resident Honey G as a novelty act, with Boy George just one among many people who is bemoaning the fact that she keeps advancing in the live shows at the expense of serious singers.
