'Finding Dory' Finally Lands In Hollywood For It's World Premiere
'Finding Dory' made its world premiere in Los Angeles last night (June 8th 2016) with stars bringing along their entire families to share this long-awaited 'Nemo' spin-off. Voice actors old and new hit the big blue (carpet), as well as a number of other popular personalities.
The main star herself Ellen Degeneres goofed around for the paparazzi ahead of the showing, accompanied by her gorgeous wife Portia de Rossi who absolutely stunned in a monochrome gown. DeGeneres reprises her role as Dory from 'Finding Nemo' in this new film that focuses on her overcoming her crippling short-term memory loss in order to find her long lost family.
Of course, Dory wouldn't be where she is today without her two best friends Marlin and Nemo, and indeed Albert Brooks and Hayden Rolence were also seen making their way to the premiere. Plus, the original voice of Nemo, Alexander Gould, was also reunited with his former co-stars.
More: Meet the cast of 'Finding Dory'
As dedicated followers of the Disney Pixar franchise will know, there's a whole host of new and interesting characters in 'Finding Dory', and some of the voices behind these guys were made flesh at last night's showing. Ty Burrell plays Bailey the hypochondriac beluga whale, and he was joined by his 'Modern Family' co-star Ed O'Neill on the blue carpet, who plays a rather grumpy but good-natured octopus named Hank.
Eugene Levy was there, having played one half of Dory's parents, Charlie, and Kaitlin Olson also made an appearance after her stint as the lovable Destiny; a whale shark who's not great at swimming but would love to be a full-on whale.
Other stars to arrive at the premiere were 'Extra' host Mario Lopez with his wife Courtney Laine Mazza and children Gia Francesca and Dominic, a heavily pregnant Holly Madison, and 'Dancing with the Stars' winner Alfonso Ribeiro.
