Serena Williams Snapchatted Her Experience Eating Dog Food

In one of the more bizarre celebrity viral moments of 2016 so far, Serena Williams took to Snapchat to chronicle the experience of eating gourmet dog food – something, unsurprisingly, she won’t be doing again in a hurry.

To explain – the 34 year old American tennis ace was staying at the Rome Cavalieri hotel in Italy and decided to order something off the “doggy menu”, with fancy meals specifically designed for canines, for her dog Chip who was staying with her on Wednesday (May 11th).

Having been initially tempted by the ‘beef and vegetables’ entrée the day before, Williams said that she decided to try some salmon and rice the next evening. And regretted it rather quickly.

“I promise you, I was like, ‘That looks so good’,” she said in the video. “It was fresh greens and boiled chicken and beef and it was seared tenderly. It was just perfection. That looks like the best food. Better than my food. I was like, 'What the heck? I'm gonna try a piece. It looks good’, so I ate a spoonful. Don't judge me!”

About two hours later, she started feel the ill-effects of five-star dog food… “I just ran to the toilet. I thought I was gonna pass out,” she continued. “I mean, it did taste weird. I force-swallowed it. It was a little, like, it tasted like a house cleaner.”

“I don't think it's consumable for humans. They should have wrote that! So now I feel really sick… I am on the struggle bus. I guess tomorrow when I step on the court I'm gonna look svelte.”

“The best thing about Snap is I don't have to hear anybody hating or trolling,” she joked in the clip. “Because I think this is something you definitely wanna hate or troll on.”
