Justin Bieber Ditches Dreadlocks And Shaves His Head

Earlier this month Justin Bieber divided fans' opinions when he debuted his new dreadlocked hairstyle in a series of Instagram pics. Now the ‘Sorry’ singer has got himself a new, even more drastic haircut, causing his fans to go into an online meltdown.

Bieber showed off his newly shaved head in a series of Instagram pics on Friday evening, with the first receiving over 97,000 comments. Responses from fans ranged from ‘why??’, to crying emojis. One fan asked "Is he in jail?’, while another simply wrote: "What the hell have you done?”. The hashtag #RIPJustinsHair even began trending on Twitter.

Of course there were also fans who liked the new look and told the singer it was ‘cute’ and assured him he’d ‘always be beautiful’. When Justin debuted his blonde dreadlocks last month many on social media accused the singer of ‘appropriating black culture’.

The controversy wasn't helped when Justin was reportedly overhead telling Big Sean backstage at the iHeartRadio music awards, “[People say] you wanna be black and all that stuff, I’m like ‘its just my hair.’”

Just over a week ago the singer tired to defend his dreadlocks again, by posting a video to Instagram which he captioned: ‘Being weird is fun' if u r not weird I don't like you’. The 22-year-old is currently in the middle of his ‘Purpose’ world tour which will see him perform across the UK and Canada all summer, before heading to Europe in September.
