The lipsticks all have Perry inspired names, for example, Crimson Cat, Purrsian Pink and Kitty Purry. The packaging will also be extra special, with white lids which read "Katy Kat Matte" on one side and "Katy Perry [hearts] CoverGirl" on the other. Keeping with the kitty theme, there's also a pair of white cat ears on the bottom of each tube.

Speaking to Vogue about the collection, Perry said: “I wanted to push the envelope with CoverGirl. You know, a black lipstick or a blue mascara is very Tumblr—I told them, this is what’s happening online, this is what everyone’s Instagramming.”

Perry revealed that she’ll be trying out the lipsticks with her friends at the Coachella festival this weekend. “We’ll pick a theme for each day,” Perry said. “One day we’ll be romantic Lolitas, the next day we’ll be vampires—and I’ll match my lipstick to that theme.”

The singer also added that she’ll be sporting one of her shades to the Met Gala next month, “I’m going to be wearing [a shade called] Perry Panther to the Met Gala,” she said. “It’s going to be amazing—it’s black, it’s different."
