Master P's Estranged Wife Wins Spousal Support
Sonya Miller filed to end her 24-year marriage to the Make 'Em Say Uhh! hitmaker last October (14), and the split turned nasty, with the former couple also fighting over custody of its children.
In September (15), she accused the hip-hop mogul of threatening to leave her homeless and broke, and subsequently filed a request for spousal support to cover her expenses while she thrashes out a divorce agreement with her estranged husband.
Now a judge has ordered the rapper, real name Percy Miller, to pay Sonya more than $27,000 (£16,875) each month - $16,574 (£10,358) in spousal support and $10,473 (£6,545) in child support. In addition, he has to hand over $200,000 for Sonya's legal fees, according to TMZ.com.
The judge also ruled Sonya has the right to live at their family home in Calabasas, California.
In August (15), she accused the entertainer of hiring security guards to block her from entering the mansion, while she also alleged her ex threatened to stop paying rent on the property and have her car repossessed after cutting off the pad's cable TV and her cell phone service.
Sonya and Master P's battle is far from over as they are still continuing to identify marital assets. The rapper's support payouts are reportedly due to change once the divorce is settled.
At the time of the original divorce filing, Sonya Miller was demanding a huge $67 million (£41.9 million) chunk of the rapper's fortune, which she estimates to be around $178 million (£111.3 million).
