Spectre hauled in $9.2 million (£5.8 million) on its first day on release, becoming the biggest Tuesday box-office take of all time.

The latest 007 adventure is now outpacing its record-breaking predecessor Skyfall at the U.K. box office. That film became the most successful Bond movie ever.
