Migos Rapper Offset Denied Bail For A Third Time

  • 28 October 2015

The hip-hop star, real name Kiari Kendrell Cephus, has been held without bail ever since a police raid during a concert at Georgia Southern University in April (15) led to the arrests of Offset and his fellow group members Quavo and Takeoff. They were all booked for drug possession, marijuana possession, possession of firearms in a school safety zone, and possession of firearms during the commission of a crime, but Quavo and Takeoff were subsequently released on bail.

Offset was remanded in custody due to a prior felony conviction and his initial bail request was denied in May (15). Earlier this month (Oct15), his lawyer filed a new request for bond in a Georgia court, but the motion was denied and on Monday (26Oct15) a judge filed his decision to deny bail after reviewing video surveillance of Cephus pertaining to a riot in a penal institution and battery charge stemming from an incident in May (15), when he was accused of causing a disturbance and attacking a fellow inmate at the Bulloch County Jail.
