Taylor Swift Scores A Year In The U.s. Top 10 With 1989
The pop star's 1989 has spent the past 52 weeks in the Billboard 200 top flight, and the feat puts Swift in the company of Bruce Springsteen, Fleetwood Mac, Adele and Celine Dion.
Swift's November, 2014 release spent its 52nd week sliding down the chart from six to nine, but just managed to hang onto a top 10 spot. 1989 debuted at number one on the chart dated 14 November, 2014, and spent 11 non-consecutive weeks on top of the countdown.
Taylor now shares fourth spot on the all-time list with Fleetwood MAC's Rumours, seven weeks behind Celine Dion, whose 1996 album Falling Into You spent 59 weeks in the top 10.
Adele's 21 took over the top 10 for 78 weeks and Springsteen holds the record, 84 weeks, with Born in the U.S.A.
