Movie Boss Jeffrey Katzenberg Thanks Car Chief For Saving His Life

The DreamWorks boss tells The Hollywood Reporter he survived a car crash in Beverly Hills last week (19Oct15) because he was behind the wheel of a Tesla Model S.

Katzenberg was hospitalised after the accident and underwent surgery on his arm and wrist, but he admits it could have been much worse.

"Thank you, Elon Musk - you saved my life," Katzenberg says. "I shattered my arm and wrist and destroyed the car. It was pretty bad. It was a big surgery and not fun."

News of the accident comes just days before Katzenberg will receive the first-ever Sid Grauman Award at Friday's (30Oct15) American Cinematheque Awards in Los Angeles.
