Camila Cabello's Acne Fears

Camila Cabello was ''afraid'' to meet One Direction because of her acne.

The Fifth Harmony star admits she was so nervous to meet the chart-topping boy band because of her skin condition.

She said: ''The first time I went to the Teen Choice Awards, I remember meeting One Direction and I was afraid to get to close to them.

''I was so over-thinking it because I thought they would look at my acne and I didn't realise how much acne can take a toll on a kid's self esteem. It got to the point where I couldn't have a conversation with someone.''

And the 'Worth It' hitmaker admits it hit her ''like a ton of bricks'' and would be scared to look in the mirror.

She added to PEOPLE magazine: ''I think that we have all had our fair share of experiences with acne but for me, I actually never had acne until the first time we went on tour and it hit me like a ton of bricks.

''It was just all over my face and I just remember waking up and looking in the mirror and literally being afraid to look in the mirror because I would just cry. I didn't want to go on stage.''
