Mexican Filmmaker Scatters The Ashes Of His Slain Brother And Father

The director and his wife, a former Miss USA, scattered the ashes of Juan Manuel Gomez Fernandez and Juan Manuel Gomez Monteverde off the coast of their native Tampico, Mexico, on Wednesday (23Sep15).

A mass for the two men will be held at a Los Angeles church on Friday (25Sep15).

Father and son were found dead on Saturday (19Sep15), two weeks after they were kidnapped outside the family home in Tampico. A ransom for their release was reportedly demanded and paid.

Local authorities believe the kidnapping and murders are gang related.
