Star Wars Filming To Resume After Weather Delays

Boats were due to leave the pier at Portmagee, County Kerry, to travel to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Skellig Michael for the shoot, but the 100-strong cast and crew were left without any means of travel after the ferries were cancelled in poor weather conditions.
Mark Hamill, who plays Luke Skywalker in the sci-fi movie saga, and several other stars are believed to have checked into a local hotel in the village of Waterville until the storm cleared, according to the Irish Independent.
Filming for the next installment of the saga, Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Force Awakens, is due to resume on Tuesday (15Sep15), with a limited number of helicopter flights allowed to operate to and from Skellig Michael.
