The Cover Me Up singer's wife, singer/songwriter Amanda Shires, gave birth to the couple's baby girl earlier this week (beg31Aug15), and the proud dad posted a photo of his daughter grasping his finger on Instagram on Tuesday (01Sep15).

He added the simple caption, "Today".

Isbell has since posted a note to friends, fans and family, thanking them for their support.
