Morgan Freeman Returns To Work After Family Tragedy

The Shawshank Redemption star was thrown into mourning after Edena Hines, the granddaughter of the actor's first wife, Jeanette Adair Bradshaw, was killed in a knife attack on Sunday (16Aug15).

He subsequently released a statement sharing his grief, but Freeman has refused to take time off work after the tragedy and he returned to the set of Going in Style, a remake of the 1979 comedy of the same name, in New York City on Tuesday (18Aug15).

The actor was pictured looking forlorn as he shot scenes with co-stars Alan Arkin and Sir Michael Caine.

Hines' boyfriend Lamar Davenport, 30, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder on Monday (17Aug15).
