Ed Helms Had Heart Surgery At 14

Helms grew up with a severe heart murmur and doctors opted to fix the problem when the funnyman was 14.

As a result of the operation, he now has a ''nice, long scar'' down his chest.

He jokes, "Everything is fine now. I have a 10-inch zipper scar right down my sternum."

The surgery didn't hold the Vacation star back as a high school and college sportsman - he was a competitive swimmer and still loves to play soccer and basketball.
