Janet Jackson Shuts Down Tour Production To Care For Ailing Father

The Jackson family patriarch has been in Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo, Brazil since Sunday (26Jul15), after experiencing signs of a stroke while in the country to celebrate his 87th birthday.

Joe's heart stopped three times, and he subsequently underwent surgery on Monday (27Jul15) to have a permanent pacemaker fitted.

He has been recuperating at the hospital since the operation, and now Entertainment Tonight reports that his superstar daughter has decided to put rehearsals for her much-anticipated The Unbreakable World Tour to a halt in order to be by her father's side.

Janet's first trek in four years is slated to kick off on 31 August (15) in Vancouver, Canada.
