Hogwarts Has No Tuition Fees And Uncle Vernon Loves 'Top Gear': JK Rowling Reveals More Harry Potter Secrets On Twitter
Harry Potter author Jk Rowling has once again indulged her fans over Twitter, answering some of their more pressing questions about the wizarding world and its inhabitants. The million selling author is known for keeping her fans happy through her social media accounts, where she frequently reveals info about Harry and his friends in response to fan-posted questions.
When one fan told the author that she was having a ‘super intense debate’ with her friends about the cost of tuition at Hogwarts, Rowling responded by revealing there were no tuition fees at the school, adding, ‘The Ministry of Magic covers the cost of all magical education!’
Moving on to the latest instalment in the Harry Potter franchise, the upcoming spin-off movie Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Rowling told one fan there will be a character in the movie with ‘loads of scars’.
The author also added that main character magizoologist Newt Scamander (who will be played by Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne) is a Hufflepuff. However Rowling also said that the film’s other heroes went to the American school of wizardry and yes she does know their houses.
One of the author’s finest revelations involved Harry’s Uncle Vernon, who Rowling outed as a massive 'Top Gear' fan. Rowling said Vernon had even 'signed the petition for Clarkson's reinstatement' earlier this year, saying was the only reason he paid the license fee.

But don't expect Vernon to be making an appearance as part of the show’s new line-up alongside host Chris Evans when it returns to our screens next year. The author said Dudley’s dad’s ‘total lack of charm and charisma’ would most likely have prevented the series from becoming a global franchise if he was involved.
