Billy Joel Bumped From Madison Square Garden Schedule For Pope Francis

The Piano Man star has been a monthly staple at the arena since early 2014, but he has agreed to push back his 25 September (15) show to 26 September (15) to allow room in the schedule for a visit from Pope Francis.

The Pontiff is due to speak at the United Nations Headquarters in the Big Apple on 25 September, and reports suggest the Catholic leader is planning to celebrate Mass in public at the Garden during his trip to the city - part of his first U.S. visit as Pope.

Vatican officials have yet to confirm the arena appearance.
