Ashlee Simpson's 'chill' Baby Shower

Ashlee Simpson had a ''chill'' baby shower.

The 'Pieces of Me' hitmaker is expecting a baby girl with husband Evan Ross and her sister Jessica Simpson held a ''big party'' on Sunday evening (07.06.15) to celebrate the impending arrival.

A guest shared: ''It was beautiful weather and her house was the perfect setting ... so gorgeous.

''It was very chill and almost like just a get-together than a traditional shower. It wasn't focused on games [and was] more like a big party.''

Around 65 people attended the event and Ashlee ''looked gorgeous'' in a ''super flowy, Bohemian-style'' outfit.

There was also a lot of talk surrounding her mother Tina's recent engagement.

The guest added to PEOPLE magazine: ''Everyone was talking about Tina's engagement and about her ring. She seems really happy.''

Meanwhile, the 30-year-old singer recently revealed her six-year-old son Bronx - who she has from her previous marriage to Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz - is looking forward to having a little sister to play with.

She said: ''I told him pretty early on [that I was pregnant] and he wanted to have a sister, so he's really excited! He's got a little brother. Now he's going to have a little sister!''
