Anthony Riley, Former "The Voice" Contestant, Found Dead At 28

You may know Anthony Riley from his appearance on the most recent season of The Voice. In tragic news today, the 28-year-old performer has died, from what at this point looks like a suicide. During his brief time on the show, Riley got instant chair turns during his audition and eventually went with Pharrell Williams as his musical coach.

But his talent had a darker side. Anthony later revealed that he was overcoming substance addiction and decided to leave the show to go to rehab, which NBC reportedly paid for. His time on The Voice ended on March 23. The singer was found dead on Friday (June 5) in the basement of his Philadelphia apartment, according to Philly.com.
These are all the details, released at this point. Riley’s situation at the time of his death was unknown. Since his death, Twitter has been flooded with tributes from fans and fellow contestants on The Voice.
