Iggy Azalea Cancels Tour

The Fancy hitmaker initially plotted to hit the road this spring (15), but pushed back the shows in March (15) after realising she wouldn't be able to deliver the arena tour she had envisioned in such a short space of time.

Explaining the delay, she said, "It is bumped back because I am a psychopath. It is my first arena tour, so it's a big undertaking and I'm doing a lot of the creative direction, which I do for everything. It's tough when it's your first time working on an arena situation."

She decided to reschedule the trek for September (15), with a kick-off date in San Diego, California, but fans have been left disappointed again after ticketholders received an email alerting them the tour was no more.

A statement issued on Friday (29May15) reads: "The Iggy Azalea Great Escape Tour scheduled for this fall (autumn) has been cancelled and refunds are available at point of purchase. There will be a new tour planned around Iggy's new record to be released in 2016 and we apologize for any inconvenience."

Azalea has yet to comment on the news, which emerges months after rumours suggested the initial tour delay was down to a fall out with her management team.

At the time, a representative for her label, Def Jam Recordings, denied the claims, insisting, "It's important to Iggy that she delivers the show she envisaged to share with her fans and that requires more time in development... There's no truth to the rumour that there's any conflict between her and her management."
