Jared Padalecki Reaches Out On Twitter Following JIBCON Absence
'Supernatural' fans have been showing their support after series star Jared Padalecki pulled out of scheduled appearances at forthcoming conventions in Italy and Australia, The Huffington Post reports.
Jared and his co-star Jensen Ackles had planned to greet fans over the weekend (May 15-17) in Rome for their annual fan convention for the popular fantasy-horror series, but Padalecki was forced to cancel, leading some to worry about his condition when he apologised for the late decision with cryptic messages on Twitter.
Dear #JIBCON and #AHBL6. I am in desperate and urgent need of my family. I am so sorry to tell you this but I must head home.

I need all of the love I can get right now. Please please give me a few seconds of your time and write me. #AlwaysKeepFighting

The hashtag #AlwaysKeepFighting refers to a T-shirt campaign the actor launched in March to raise funds for To Write Love on Her Arms, a non-profit organization that supports people struggling with depression and addiction. At the time, Padalecki also spoke about his own battle with depression.
As the news spread that he wouldn't be attending the convention, fans turned to social networking sites to send him warm messages, while Ackles and 'Supernatural' castmate Misha Collins were among celebrity friends who showed their support.
And Ackles addressed his co-star's absence at the convention, saying "In true Jared fashion, he exhausted himself to the point where he had to tap out. He needed to go home and get some rest and be with his family." Ackles also tweeted to say "get some rest, my brother. I got ur back... Always."
