David Ayer Releases First Photo Of The 'Suicide Squad' Team In Costume

While the Avengers are busy taking over cinemas across the globe, there's something else happening in the world of superheroes (and villains) - David Ayer has just revealed the first image of the cast of Suicide Squad in costume, reports Variety. And here it is:

There is, of course, someone rather important missing from the picture - Jared Leto as the Joker - but that might be because Ayer already tweeted a (slightly scary?) snap of him last month:

The star-packed Warner Bros film is based on the DC comic-book series, and tells the story of imprisoned villains who are hired by a government agency to carry out a mission that will give them all a clean slate.

Alongside Leto, Suicide Squad features Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang and Adam Beach as Slipknot - to name a few.

Suicide Squad is currently scheduled to reach cinemas in early August 2016. It's expected to become one of next summer's biggest blockbusters.
