Jeremy Renner: Hawkeye Has 'sweet' Powers Too

Jeremy Renner has denied his 'Avengers' character Hawkeye is among the lesser of the superheroes.
The 44-year-old actor, who stars in 'The Avengers: Age of Ultron', has claimed that although his on-screen character doesn't boast the obvious supernatural powers of Thor and Hulk, he's a worthy member of the team.
He told 'The Tonight Show': ''When you're on a team with the Hulk and Thor and we're all up there on the movie screen; will people believe that I'm not quite as tough, will anyone even notice me.
''Listen, I've got powers too and they're pretty sweet. I promise I can do so much more than just archery.''
This comes shortly after Jeremy revealed he's not a comic book fan.
Despite starring as one of the central characters in the Marvel universe, Jeremy doesn't know much about the origins of the characters.
He recently said: ''I don't really read comics.''
Jeremy also revealed he spoke to co-stars Mark Ruffalo and Robert Downey Jr. before returning for the follow up movie.
He explained: ''I remember talking about, not the specifics of but the ideas of what happens to Hawkeye in this movie with Downey and [director Joss Whedon] and Ruffalo.
''There were some very cool ideas and we were able to implement them in this film, which was very, very exciting.''
