BAFTA TV Nominations Announced! The Missing Gets The Most Nods For 2015
The BAFTA Television Award nominations for 2015 have finally been announced, including the usual entertainment favourites, some easily predictable names and a few surprises along the way that represent the very best of British television.
We're never tired of hearing his name at awards ceremonies; 'Sherlock' star Benedict Cumberbatch is once again nominated for his exceptional performance as the modern-day sleuth on a show that the public has also put up to receive the Radio Times Audience Award. More Leading Actor nominations feature Toby Jones in 'Marvellous', which is also in the Single Drama category and Best Supporting Actress with Gemma Jones.

The show with the most nominations is, however, 'The Missing' starring James Nesbitt. The gripping child kidnap drama will stand for not only Best Leading Actor, but also Best Supporting Actor with Ken Stott, Best Drama Series and the Radio Times Award. Jason Watkins is also up for Leading Actor with Best Mini-Series nominee 'The Lost Honour of Christopher Jefferies'.
Counter-terrorism drama 'Line of Duty' is another one for the Drama Series category, with star Keeley Hawes nominated for Best Leading Actress and Vicky McClure for Supporting Actress, as well as 'Happy Valley' with Sarah Lancashire and Supporting Actor James Norton. Finally for the Leading Actress category are 'Murdered by My Boyfriend' star Georgina Campbell and Sheridan Smith in 'Cilla'.

Once again up for Entertainment Programme And Performance is 'Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway' while 'Casualty', 'Coronation Street', 'Hollyoaks' and 'Eastenders' as usual fill the Soap list. The latter was also nominated for the Audience Award, alongside 'Game Of Thrones', 'The Great British Bake Off' and 'Strictly Come Dancing'. International nominations go to 'The Good Wife', 'House Of Cards', 'Orange Is The New Black' and 'True Detective'.
