Actor Daniel Von Bargen Dies

Actor Daniel von Bargen has died, aged 64.

The Seinfeld regular, who played Jason Alexander's clueless boss Mr. Kruger on the hit sitcom, passed away over the weekend (28Feb15-01Mar15) after suffering an undisclosed illness, according to news affiliate Wlwt in his native Cincinnati, Ohio.

Von Bargen also appeared in multiple episodes of Malcolm in the Middle, Law & Order and NYPD Blue, and his movie credits included The Silence of the Lambs, Philadelphia, Amistad, O Brother, Where Art Thou?, and Super Troopers, among others.

He made headlines in 2012 for a failed suicide attempt, which resulted in a gunshot wound to the head.
