Hollywood celebrated itself on Sunday night with the 87th Academy Awards, ignoring the critics' favourite Boyhood to present the best film, director and screenplay Oscars to the show business comedy Birdman. The lively presenters and winners were caught backstage by paparazzi in the press room.

The biggest Oscar after-party was thrown by Vanity Fair in Beverly Hills, attended by stars including Julianne Moore, Channing Tatum, Amy Adams, Beyonce, Jennifer Aniston, Jared Leto, Joan and Jackie Collins, Jane Fonda, Sia, Queen Latifah, Antonio Banderas, Sam and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Serena Williams and many more.

In the following days, everyone got back to work. Across the country in snowy New York, Best Actress winner Julianne Moore and nominee Ethan Hawke were photographed ice skating on set with Greta Gerwig and Bill Hader for the Rebecca Miller comedy Maggie's Plan.

Over in London, Tom Cruise continues to film Mission: Impossible 5 at sites around the city. This week he was snapped shooting a scene at night next to the Tower of London. Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, the film costars Jeremy Renner, Alec Baldwin and Rebecca Ferguson.

And back in Los Angeles, the premiere of Focus took place this week at Hollywood's iconic Chinese Theatre, attended by stars Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Gerald McRaney, Adrian Martinez and filmmakers Glenn Ficarra and John Requa. The film is in cinemas this weekend.

There were also several new trailers this week, including a red-band teaser for Kill Me Three Times, an action comedy starring Simon Pegg as a hitman in Australia who gets entangled with a client, his unfaithful wife and a bag of cash. Also starring Luke Hemsworth, Sullivan Stapleton and Teresa Palmer, the film looks fast-paced and blackly hilarious. It opens in April. Watch 'Kill Me Three Times' Red Band Trailer.
The first trailer for Cameron Crowe's sharp-looking new comedy-drama Aloha came out this week. It stars Bradley Cooper as a guy who loses his girlfriend (Rachel McAdams) and his Air Force job for reasons he can't understand, then gets assigned to a new position in Hawaii training a sassy pilot (Emma Stone). The all-star cast includes Bill Murray, Danny McBride, John Krasinski and Alec Baldwin. The film opens in May. Watch 'Aloha' Teaser Trailer.
And we also had our first glimpse of Kristen Wiig's spiky comedy Welcome to Me, in which she plays a socially awkward woman who stubbornly decides to host her own TV show after she wins the lottery. Costars include James Marsden, Tim Robbins, Joan Cusack and Jennifer Jason Leigh. The film looks smart, strange and very funny. It also opens in May. Watch 'Welcome To Me' Trailer.
