Ed Sheeran Hits Milan On The European Leg Of His 'X' Tour [Photos]

Language barriers weren't a problem for Ed Sheeran and his Italian fans as he hit the Assago Forum in Milan on Tuesday (January 27th 2015) as part of the European leg on his 'x Tour' to an adoring crowd that loved every minute of his epic setlist.

The red-haired popstar performed tracks from both his acclaimed debut album '+' as well as his latest album 'X' which went multi-Platinum upon its release in June last year topping charts in both the UK and US and impressing critics with various gems such as 'Sing' and 'Thinking Out Loud'.

The album was produced by Rick Rubin and has transformed Ed Sheeran from a rising star touring to bring in some income, to a global superstar with three Grammy nominations and four Brit nods under his belt for February.

Ed Sheeran has been touring since August 2014, taking a break only during December and the beginning of January 2015 before returning to the stage yet again. He will be on the road touring globally through April, and then will take up a three-night residency at Wembley Stadium in London from July 10th - 12th. Currently supporting him on his European dates is fellow UK singer-songwriter Ryan Keen.
Tickets to the upcoming Wembley gigs were recently offered to Noel Gallagher by Sheeran as a peace offering following a minor disagreement between the pair. Gallagher lashed out at the star in an interview with NME, saying, 'I don't think I can live in a world where [Ed Sheeran performing at Wembley] is even possible.
'When you hear that kind of polished pop and then there's a ginger guy with a f***ing guitar it seems subversive, but it's f***ing not'. Probably aware of Gallagher's feelings on pop music and his general scathing demeanour, Sheeran was not offended and quick to show there were no hard (or hurt) feelings by texting Gallagher the offer of tickets, to which Sheeran told Radio 2 he responded: 'You cheeky so and so. My daughter would love some.'
