Don Verdean Hits Screens Looking For Biblical Treasure In A New Trailer

Drama comedy Don Verdean follows actor Sam Rockwell as he takes his title character on a journey to find the Holy Grail. Unfortunately, Don's job as a 'biblical archaeologist' comes very much shrouded in comical 'air quotes' as he earns a bit of cash here and a bit of cash there in his attempts to uncover and sell works of art with biblical history in exchange for a quick buck.

Don is eventually hired by a local church pastor who is determined to fund his adventures as he tries to find faith-promoting relics from the Holy Land.

When Verdean looks likely to come home empty handed, he is forced to get creative in this comedy of faith and fraud.

Sam Rockwell takes the lead and, if the name is not totally familiar, his roles in Green Mile, Seven Psychopaths, Iron Man 2 and Cowboys & Aliens will most certainly be.

He stars in this Jared Hess directed picture alongside his girlfriend Leslie Bibb who he met in 2007 when filming Frost/Nixon.

Don Verdean will have its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival at the end of January and also starts Danny McBride and Jemaine Clement.
