Kanye West Admits He Was Wrong (Once) At John Legend's Star Studded Birthday Bash
On Thursday night stars gathered to celebrate the 37th birthday of John Legend at nightclub ‘Catch’ in New York’s trendy Meatpacking district. But while the guests enjoyed a fancy meal and a piano shaped cake, the real treat came during a speech made by the one and only Kanye West, who actually admitted he was once wrong about something.
In his speech Kanye revealed he had advised his friend not to use the word ordinary in the title of his what would be his breakout single, 2005’s ‘Ordinary People’. “I was incorrect about that one,” West acknowledged.

The rapper arrived late to the party with wife Kim Kardashian, but the couple eventually took their seats at the main table opposite Legend and his wife model Chrissy Teigen. One guest told the New York Daily News that later in the evening Kanye’s ‘Yezzus’ came on, and the showman couldn’t help rapping along to his own song.
Legend was also celebrating the 10th anniversary of his debut album, Get Lifted at the bash and was said to be acting very loved up with wife Chrissy Teigen. The couple were seen acting “very cute together,” with one diner telling the NYDN that at one point, “John was leaning his head on her shoulder and she was resting her hand on the top of his head and kissing his head. It was a very intimate moment, considering they were in a packed restaurant.”
Also in attendance at the bash were Robert De Niro and wife Grace Hightower as well as newscaster Katie Couric and her husband John Molner.
