So About That Kasabian 'All Londoners Are...' Backdrop...

London based fans of Kasabian might have been left a little shocked (and offended) after a profane backdrop exclaiming “London is full of c**ts”, was projected on-stage during a recent gig in Glasgow. But rather than being an expression of the group's true feeling, Kasabian have now claimed the backdrop was simply a ‘production error’ and not anything to do with the band themselves.

Speaking to the NME, guitarist Serge Pizzorno said, “We were all shocked and certainly didn’t mean to offend anyone.” “The production team fucked up.” he continued. “There were supposed to be photos of mundane objects in that section but instead I turned around in the middle of [the song] 'Clouds' and couldn’t believe my eyes.”

The backdrop appeared during the band’s gig at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro on Wednesday, November 19th, when they were performing the song ‘Clouds’. The controversial statement was seen as part of a photograph of a locked door with the text scrawled across it.
