With $19,1 Million, "Interstellar" Blasts Past "Big Hero 6" At The Box Office

  • 09 November 2014

With Marvel making a play for the kids’ animated movie market, there’s finally some variety at the box office this weekend. The studio’s Disney-esque hero adventure, Big Hero 6 takes plays in San Fransokyo (that’s a future hybrid between San Francisco and Tokyo, in case you’ve missed the subtle wordplay) and centres on Hiro Takadashi.

Big Hero 6 couldn't quite match Interstellar at the box office, but is getting a round of critical praise.

Hero is a 13-year-old child prodigy, who has already graduated high school and spends his free time building fighter robots. Why not, right?
