Hefe Wine AKA Maurice Williams has, according to reports in TMZ, filed for divorce from 24-year-old Azalea. Wine met Azalea on the night of her eighteenth birthday - back in June 2008 - and they dated for two years, according to reports in the Mirror.
The former couple also reportedly lived together in Atlanta, Georgia but Wine has allegedly filed the papers in Texas owing to the state's legislation on common law marriages. In Texas, the law states that a man and woman who live together and consider themselves to be husband and wife are effectively married in the eyes of the law.
Wine claims the marriage occurred sometime in September 2008 and the divorce papers, as TMZ reports, state Azalea and Wine "agreed to be married, holding themselves out as man and wife and began residing together in the State of Texas on or about September, 2008." Wine further claims they only began living separately last year.

Apparently, if the presiding judge considers the marriage to be legitimate, Azalea may have to split the assets she accumulated whilst the two were together - including the money she made from her music.

However, Azalea's rep claims she never considered herself or agreed to be Wine's wife. Azalea has also addressed the reports via Twitter and claims TMZ, who first reported the news, has fabricated the story in order to increase readership.
The 'Fancy' singer tweeted to her 2.73 million followers and stated "I think we already all know, but just to clarify. I'm NOT married. Feel free to check the PUBLIC marriage records." She later criticised TMZ for financially reimbursing Wine for his "false" story.

Press don't care that a story is clearly false, they just want you to click it. So they're happy to pay, and this person continues to make $

TMZ just asked me at the airport if I think my "common law marriage" claim is a money grab. Yes, but it's TMZs money his grabbing. Lol.
