'Frozen' Set To Be Transformed Into Disney World Attraction

Fans of the animated flick 'Frozen' will be thrilled with Disney's latest announcement, on Friday (Sept 12th) it was confirmed that the hugely popular film will be turned into an attraction for Walt Disney World, which will be constructed in the Norway Pavilion at Epcot Center.

"We've made 'Frozen' a part of the guest experience in a number of ways already and our guests have both loved them and asked for more," chairman of Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, Thomas Staggs, wrote on the Disney Parks blog.

"The new attraction, which replaces (the ride) Maelstrom, will take our guests to Arendelle and immerse them in many of their favorite moments and music from the film," he continued. "The pavilion will also include a royal greeting location where Anna and Elsa can meet our guests."

Adding, "We think these 'Frozen' elements are great complements to the Norway Pavilion, which showcases the country and region that inspired the film."

Staggs also informed fans that the Oscar-winning movie's main characters will "have a bigger presence" at Walt Disney World Resort's Magic Kingdom Park during the holiday season, which includes Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Olaf will being part of "Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade."

Furthermore, Queen Elsa, he said, will also "use her powers to transform Cinderella Castle into an ice palace every night, starting in early November."

Since being released last November (2013), 'Frozen' has been one of the most successful animated movies of all-time, and has earned over $1 billion at the box office worldwide.
