Akon Facing Car Repossession

R&B star Akon runs the risk of losing the keys to his luxury sportscar after allegedly falling behind on lease payments.

Auto finance bosses claim the Smack That hitmaker owes $250,000 (£147,059) for the 2010 Ferrari 458 Italia, and they have filed legal papers seeking permission to take back the vehicle.

According to U.S. court documents obtained by Tmz.com, Akon signed a contract to lease the car for a total of $360,000 (£211,765), even though it's only worth $225,000 (£132,353).

Akon alleges he has made 37 payments on the vehicle, but has not revealed exactly how much he has handed over.
