Jason Aldean Named Most Downloaded Country Artist In History

Singer Jason Aldean has been named the most downloaded country artist in U.S. chart history.

The Big Green Tractor hitmaker has garnered 21.5 million certified digital song downloads or on-demand streams since 2005, according to officials at the Recording Industry Association of America (Riaa).

A statement from Aldean reads, "I love country music, and I wouldn't want to be doing anything else. There was never a Plan B."

The honour comes one week after the 37 year old landed his first number one single on Billboard's Digital Songs chart with Burnin' It Down.
