You may have heard of Big Hero 6, but there’s no shame if you haven’t. Not many people had heard of Frozen this time last year, and the animated fairy-tale went on to become one of Disney’s most prized assets.

And it’s with Big Hero 6 that they try and follow the seemingly unfollowable (not a word) animated money guzzler, which started accumulating a strong box last Thanksgiving and just didn’t stop.

This is the first Disney animation to feature characters from the Marvel universe since it was bought back in 2009 – it is inspired by the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name. Ryan Potter will voice Hiro Hamada while 30 Rock actor Scott Adsit has been cast as Baymax. Also applying their vocal talents are Maya Rudolph, James Cromwell, Damon Wayans Jr, T.J. Miller, Alan Tudyk, Jamie Chung, Genesis Rodriguez and Daniel Henney.

Joe Quesada explained to Screen Rant. The film is due to be released in 3D in the UK on 30 January, and we’d suggest looking for some outside odds on this one – it has to be a contender for the Oscar for Best Animated Feature following the success of Disney’s Frozen gong in the same category at this year’s ceremony.
