Harrison Ford Recovering After Operation, To Go Into Rehabilitation For Broken Leg
Harrison Ford is reportedly off his feet following a recent accident on the set of Star Wars, having been spotted in a wheelchair recently. Ford underwent surgery for his broken leg on Thursday and it appears he still has some healing to do, before he’s ready to don Han Solo’s gear once again.
"His surgery was successful and he will begin rehab shortly," his rep said in a statement obtained by the New York Daily News on June 19. "He's doing well and looks forward to returning to work."
Also according to the Daily News, Ford’s recovery will require him to return to the US and begin rehabilitation there. He may be off his feet for six to eight weeks after the incident. He suffered a broken leg after a hydraulic door reportedly fell on him from his iconic spaceship, The Millennium Falcon. Risks of the interstellar smuggling game, probably. Following the accident, he was airlifted to nearby John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
