Harrison Ford To Take A Break From "Star Wars" Filming After On-Set Incident

Being a rebel in a galaxy far, far away is dangerous work, as Harrison Ford has come to find on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII recently. The actor reportedly sustained a minor injury during filming for the latest Star Wars epic. According to BBC News, Ford’s ankle was injured when it got caught in a garage door at Pinewood Studios near London. The actor then had to be airlifted to the hospital. He is now being treated at Radcliffe hospital, Oxford.

His injury will not significantly affect the filming schedule. The studio said that the Star Wars shoot would continue, while Ford is in recovery.
A spokesman for Thames Valley police said: "We were called just after 5pm to reports of a 71-year-old man being injured in an incident believed to involve a garage door.
"The man was airlifted to John Radcliffe Hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life threatening. The Health and Safety Executive is investigating."

Filming for Episode VII will continue without Ford for the time being.
A spokeswoman for South Central Ambulance Service said they were called to an incident involving "a door that had fallen." They did not clarify an further.
