Katy Perry Not 'super Strict' With Sex Life

Katy Perry isn't ''super strict'' with her sex life.

The 'Roar' hitmaker - who split from Russell Brand in 2011 after 14 months of marriage and called time on her on/off relationship with John Mayer in February - doesn't have rules when it comes to getting frisky beneath the sheets, but she believes there should be a ''connection''.

Speaking in the July issue of Cosmopolitan magazine - for which she appears on the cover of 62 international editions - she said: ''I'm not like Professor Higgins with my sex life. I'm not super strict. For me, the most important thing about sex is connection.''

The 29-year-old singer also insists the longest she's ever gone without having sex is between six months and a year, but she's adamant she'd never have a one-night stand.

When asked by Chelsea Handler, who has written a book about one-night stands, how long she's gone without getting intimate with someone in the bedroom, Katy replied: ''Maybe six months or a year. I don't stay single for long. I carry a lot of rose quartz, which attracts the male. Maybe I need to calm it down with the amethyst.''
