Bryan Singer’s Accuser Says He Was “Piece Of Meat”, As FBI Denies Mishandling 2000 Testimony

The man accusing director Bryan Singer of sexually abusing him in 1999 has held a press conference alongside his lawyer, Jeff Herman, to detail and publicise his abuse. Michael F. Egan III is suing the X-Men filmmaker for numerous incidents of molestation which he claims took place over two years around the time he was 17 years old.

Bryan Singer Is Accused Of Raping A 17 Year-Old Boy Back In 1999.

The suit, which has been filed in Hawaii, alleges that Singer and others abused Egan during "sordid parties" after he arrived in LA from the Midwest as a young wannabe actor. Egan claims that Singer and others threatened to make or break his career depending on his willingness to keep them happy, which resulted in the director one time forcibly sodomising him as retaliation for refusing to perform oral sex.

Official court documents detail Egan's claims but the plaintiff himself waived the right to anonymity in order to hold a press conference. "I was raped numerous times in that house, by numerous individuals," he said, adding "You were like a piece of meat to these people," via THR.

Singer Has Fiercely Denied Egan's Allegations Of Sexual Abuse.

Singer, via his lawyer Marty Singer, has vehemently denied the allegations against him. "The claims made against Bryan Singer are completely without merit," he said. "We are very confident that Bryan will be vindicated in this absurd and defamatory lawsuit." He added: "It is obvious that this case was filed in an attempt to get publicity at the time when Bryan's new movie ('X-Men: Days of Future Past') is about to open in a few weeks."

Egan has also claimed that his mother went to the FBI in 2000 with the allegations but nothing seemingly came from her testimony. A spokesperson from the FBI has told Fox News that action was taken upon Michael's mother's interview: "Our office investigated allegations and successfully prosecuted a man in or around 2000. I'm limited in commenting on any litigation, and the FBI does not comment on information provided to agents about alleged crimes, unless the claims become a matter of public record; however, the suggestion that the FBI ignored evidence involving the sexual victimization of a child is ludicrous."

Singer Is Reportedly Going To Counter-Sue Egan And His Family.

"The FBI vigorously pursues all allegations involving the sexual abuse of minors and, pursues prosecution when evidence of such crimes is brought to its attention," the spokesperson added.

The director reportedly announced plans to counter-sue Egan and his family at his own press conference where he vehemently denied that accusations that he sexually assaulted Michael Egan when he was underage, according to Just Jared. The 48 year-old, who has already seen his name removed from Black Box TV commercials, argued that the lawsuit is a financial and attention grab by the family's attorney and the family.

This isn't the first time Singer hasn't been the focus of accusations regarding appropriate acts against minors: in 1997, a 14-year-old extra from the thriller, Apt Pupil, he directed accused Singer and others working on the film of forcing him and two other underage boys to get naked during a shower scene. The case was eventually thrown out for insufficient evidence.
